On the occasion of the general meeting of shareholders of EMS-CHEMIE HOLDING AG, Domat/Ems, held on 17 August 2002, approval was granted to all motions tabled by the board of directors. The 387 attending shareholders represented 729'054 registered shares and 252'536 bearer shares, corresponding to 88.8% of all share votes.
The general meeting approved carryforward of the balance-sheet profit to new account, elected Dr. Hansjörg Frei as a new member of the board of directors for a period of office of one year and confirmed the previous members of the board.
