At the financial media conference on February 11, 2005 the EMS Group, which undertakes global activities in the fields of Performance Polymers and Fine Chemicals / Engineering and with its companies combined in EMS-CHEMIE HOLDING AG, announced that it would be pursuing a strategy of concentration on Performance Polymers. Furthermore, and in pursuit of this strategy, EMS announced the spin-off and going-public of the EMS-DOTTIKON business unit (exclusive synthesis specialist) in 2005, under the holding company DOTTIKON ES HOLDING AG.
